XXXTentacion’s posthumously released Skins album lands at number 1 according to a report the folks at Billboard published. “Skins” has officially landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
Billboard says XXX’s LP, moved 132,000 equivalent album units in its first week of release. Of this total, 52,000 came from pure album sales.
XXX’s new LP isn’t a bunch of songs. It can be listened to in less than 25 minutes. It features a guest appearance from Kanye West. While there isn’t a lot to listen to, it’s a sizable reminder of the considerable talent that was lost when XXX was shot and killed during a robbery back in June.
Meek Mill’s Championships slips from No. 1 to No. 2 in its second week, as the set earned 129,000 units (down 43 percent).
Gucci Mane scores his fifth top 10 album on the Billboard 200, as Evil Genius arrives at No. 5, earning 51,000 units (5,000 in album sales). In total, Evil is Gucci Mane’s 21st charting effort, stretching back to 2005’s Trap House.
Travis Scott’s former No. 1 Astroworld rises 8-6 with a little more than 44,000 units (down 5 percent).
