On Thursday, Nahmir uploaded a photo of himself holding some documents and a key to inform fans about his newest business venture.
The rapper celebrated the purchase while reflecting on his last few years in the caption.
“2024 I was on some whatever, 2023 I was on some whatever 2025, I just bought my first McDonalds establishment,” he wrote. “2023? Clownin. 2024? Coasting. 2025? Just secured my first McDonald’s franchise. Yeah MF.. YBN BURGERS NN ALLAT!”
It’s worth noting that the YBN founder hasn’t released a solo project since 2022’s Faster Car Music.
Nahmir founded the YBN posse in 2014 with childhood friends Cordae and Almighty Jay and together, they released their debut mixtape, YBN: The Mixtape 2018. However, Speculation about a split began circulating online in 2020 when Cordae removed “YBN” from his stage name. The collective did not publicly address the situation at the time but have since enjoyed success on their own paths.
Cordae recently revealed why the collective went belly up in an interview with YouTuber Peaks100. While the North Carolina emcee says he’s still cool with the other members, he admits that “there were multiple reasons” for their split.
“We never recorded a song with all three of us,” said Cordae. “The business side was honestly pretty messed up. Things got heated in Europe, and once certain words are said, you can’t take them back.”
