Ye season might be closer than we thought. The artist formerly known as Kanye West is back in motion, letting fans know he’s got heat on the way. In a recent exchange with the X (formerly Twitter) fan page YeFanatics, the Chicago icon dropped some serious news: new music is landing this week—and not just a single or two.
“Releasing 5 of the songs 2nt. Will release another 5 2mrw. And then more the next day,” Ye wrote. “Still working on the album. Share this message.”
The 24-time Grammy winner originally introduced Bully as a visual album back in March, but the full project has been delayed ever since. Fans were expecting a complete release earlier this week, but the drop never came. Still, Ye’s latest message signals that he’s far from done and very much back in the lab fine-tuning the experience.
Kanye West Makes Shocking Appearance At Diddy’s Federal Trial
In the midst of the music rollout, Kanye made a surprise appearance at the federal courthouse in New York City on Friday (June 13), where Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex trafficking trial is underway. Rocking an all-white fit, Ye tried to enter the courtroom in what seemed like a show of solidarity with the embattled Bad Boy mogul.
However, he was reportedly denied entry after not being listed as an approved guest. Security then directed him to an overflow room, where he watched the proceedings via monitor. But after about 40 minutes, West dipped out, leaving the courthouse without making any statements.
With Bully still in the works and Ye’s name popping up in unexpected places, it’s clear the ever-controversial, ever-magnetic artist isn’t fading into the background anytime soon.
