Ye continues to deal with controversies. After several French lawmakers expressed a desire to ban Ye from playing his upcoming concert in Marseille, the rapper has decided to take matters into his own hands.
What Has Ye Decided?
On Tuesday night (April 14th), amid mounting backlash, Ye responded to the calls for his ban in France.
“After much thought and consideration, it is my sole decision to postpone my show in Marseille, France until further notice,” Ye posted.
This decision comes after a report by Politico which stated Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez was “very determined” to stop the concert and had been exploring “every possibility” to prevent it from going ahead.
French daily Le Monde reported more details, writing that last week Nuñez raised the issue with regional and local leaders, including Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur prefect Jacques Witkowski and Marseille Mayor Benoît Payan.
“I refuse to let Marseille be a showcase for those who promote hatred and unapologetic Nazism,” Payan posted. “Kanye West is not welcome at the Vélodrome.”
Ye has not announced if or when the concert will be rescheduled.

to postpone my show in Marseille, France until further notice.
What Happened To His Other Shows?
This is the second time Ye has had to cancel or move a show in the last few weeks.
Recently, Wireless Festival in the UK had to cancel due to Ye getting banned from the UK. He was supposed to serve as headliner every day of the festival.
His next show is scheduled to take place in New Delhi, India on May 23rd. He has other shows scheduled for Istanbul, Madrid, The Netherlands, Portugal, and Italy.
It’s not known yet if Ye will cancel additional shows.
