After months of inflammatory statements and controversial behavior, Ye appears to be taking a step back—from hate.

In a series of early morning posts on Thursday (May 22), the artist formerly known as Kanye West told his X followers that he’s finished with antisemitic rhetoric

“I am done with antisemitism,” he tweeted. “I love all people. God forgive me for the pain I’ve caused. I forgive those who have caused me pain.”

The unexpected announcement arrives after a stretch of troubling public moments from the Chicago native, including a leaked album titled Cuck, which features artwork of two figures dressed in Ku Klux Klan robes.

Ye attributes his apparent change of heart to a FaceTime call with his children, sharing: “I simply got a FaceTime from my kids and I wanna save the world again.”

The statement caught both fans and critics off guard, many of whom have grown used to Ye’s volatile presence online. But at the time of this writing, Ye continues to post messages to X centered around love, unity, and peace on Earth.

Still, the shift raises questions. Is this a genuine turning point or just another plot twist in Ye’s ongoing controversy-filled saga?
