Ye, formerly known as rap star Kanye West, has put out numerous classic albums. And even though albums such as Watch The Throne and 808s & Heartbreaks changed the music game forever, there is one project that just means more to Ye. That project being his 2026 album Bully.
Ye Talks Importance of His Album ‘Bully’
In a clip shared by Kurrco on X on Tuesday (July 28), Gamma CEO Larry Jackson shares a voicenote from the Grammy-winning artist. He explains why the success of Bully means more to him than any of his other past projects. Ye says the album means more to him because he made the project while he was in the midst of dealing with a mental health crisis.
“A year into making the project, I went into an episode, so this right here is a celebration, a victory, and a success story of people who have dealt with mental health crises,” Ye says in the voice note.

Fans on social media also echoed a similar sentiment about the album.
“BULLY is also a celebration and victory for the entire Ye fanbase,” one person wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Congrats to Ye, the only artist who can celebrate a chart position and open a mental health seminar at the same time,” a second user remarked.
Bully didn’t end up topping the Billboard Charts following its release in March 2025. It was edged out by Playboi Carti’s studio album, Music. However, the project was still a huge commercial success. BULLY sold 152,000 equivalent album units in its official first tracking week, landing at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
