The Best Of Both Thrones?
In a string of IG posts on Thursday, October 19th, Rick Ross proclaimed that he has a vision and that vision includes future collaborations with Ye (formerly known as Kanye West). The two Hip Hop legends are no strangers to working together as Kanye produced earlier Ross recordings and the two collaborated on Devil In A New Dress, Monster, and an unreleased version of TLOP’s Famous.
Ye who has been rumored to be on the verge of releasing a collab album with Ty Dolla $Sign, with listening events taking place in Italy seemingly is on the brink of reentering the game after a year of controversy. Meanwhile, Rozay has linked with Meek Mill for their joint effort ‘Shaq and Kobe’ dropping next month.
Sonically, the blend of Rick Ross delivery and vivid lyrics with Ye’s musical tapestry has always delivered and collaboration on an album rollout or in fashion on the Yeezy brand could serve the hip hop community well. Ross is big. Ye is big. The two joining forces more regularly is potentially huge.
