Young Buck won’t be returning to a prison cell after reaching a plea deal in his long-running Tennessee weapons case. The former G-Unit rapper was sentenced to eight years, but with 30% of the sentence suspended, he’ll serve roughly 2.4 years through community corrections rather than incarceration.
Under the agreement, Buck will remain in the community under strict supervision, which includes supervised probation, community service, and participation in court-ordered programs. The case stems from a 2020 incident involving his former girlfriend and dragged on for nearly six years before finally being resolved.
The ruling comes after a turbulent 2025 for Buck, which included a brief jail stint for bond violations and public protests from supporters advocating for his release. With the plea deal now finalized, Buck avoids prison time but faces heavy oversight as he works to move forward.
