Grammy-winning engineer and longtime JAY-Z collaborator Young Guru is once again investing in the next generation of music talent.

The Roc Nation School of Music, Sports & Entertainment at LIU announced that Young Guru is sponsoring a full-tuition scholarship for one incoming Fall 2026 student. Along with four years of free tuition, the recipient will get the rare chance to shadow Guru throughout the school year, work alongside him in the school’s Dolby Atmos studio and receive mentorship through the Dean’s Scholars Program.

“This scholarship is about creating opportunities for the next generation of music industry professionals,” he said. “I want these students to not only receive an incredible education, but also gain real-world experience.”

This marks the second full-tuition scholarship Guru has personally funded after launching a similar initiative in 2022. He’s also joined by supporters of the Roc Nation School like DJ Khaled, Megan Thee Stallion and LaMelo Ball, who have all created scholarship opportunities for students.
