Speculation about tension between Gunna and Young Thug has resurfaced, thanks to a noticeable change in the former’s latest photos.

Wunna recently dropped shirtless gym selfies online, and eagle-eyed followers quickly noticed something missing: his YSL tattoo. The same ink that once repped Young Thug’s YSL collective now hides under fresh artwork. The change reignited ongoing rumors that Gunna and Young Thug are no longer on good terms.
The rumors aren’t exactly coming outta nowhere. Both rappers got wrapped up in the 56-count YSL RICO indictment back in 2022. While Young Thug stayed locked up in Fulton County Jail for nearly three years, Gunna took a plea deal and walked out in December of that year.
That decision sparked heavy backlash. Fans and industry peers accused Gunna of snitching—an allegation he’s repeatedly denied.
“While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way,” he said at the time.
Gunna Continues to Fuel Speculation of YSL Separation
Despite his statement, fans have kept a close eye on the situation, and his tattoo cover-up feels like the most direct sign yet that something’s off. Thug may have added even more fuel to the fire with his verse on “Money on Money,” a recent collab with Future. On the track, Thugger drops bars that many interpret as subliminal shots aimed at Gunna.
“These f**k n****s tellin’ for nothin’, and I gotta be the one callin’ ’em friends,” he raps on the hook.
Then: “Brother, you a rat (My brother),”
And: “Twin, you a rat, you smoked, uh.”
Neither Gunna nor Thug has directly addressed the elephant in the room. But between cryptic lyrics and that missing YSL tat, fans are connecting the dots—and the picture doesn’t look too friendly.
