Yung Joc is making a bold claim about his influence on two major hip-hop hits.

The Atlanta rapper says he deserves credit for helping inspire Migos’ chart-topping “Bad and Boujee” as well as Mike WiLL Made-It’s “23,” which featured Miley Cyrus, Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa.

According to Joc, his impact on both records has gone largely unrecognized, and he believes his ideas or influence played an important role in how the songs eventually came together.

“Bad and Boujee,” released in 2016, became one of Migos’ biggest records and helped push the group further into the mainstream. Meanwhile, “23” arrived in 2013 and became a major crossover hit for Mike WiLL Made-It and its star-studded lineup.

Joc’s comments are sure to spark debate among fans over just how much credit he should receive for the success of the two records.
