Rap artist Yung Miami recently appeared on Cam Newton’s Funky Friday and put Drake on the hot seat.
Yung Miami Says Drake Ignored Her Feature Request
During her conversation with the former NFL MVP, Caresha revealed that she sent a direct message to Drake. Requesting him to do a feature verse for her 2025 record, Take Me To Chanel. But he never responded to her message and left her on hold.
However, it doesn’t appear to be any sour feelings between Drake and the City Girls star. She understood that at the time, Drizzy was still dealing with the fallout from his 2024 feud with Kendrick Lamar.
“I get it, I understand cos it’s just like—I gotta focus on me rn cos these people tryna take me out,” she said in a clip caught by not_D4VD on X.
However, she did note that she was there for Drake when he needed her and JT to feature on his 2018 record, In My Feelings. But at the end of the day, she didn’t take it personally.
“Drake, don’t do that now! Cos when you called me, I was there. But nah, I fw Drake, I can understand that that’s why I didn’t take it personal,” she added.
Yung Miami told Cam Newton that she tried to get Drake on her song, "Take Me to Chanel." But when she DM'ed him about the collab, he simply liked the message and never replied. She explained that she understood his silence since he was going through a major beef at the time🥀

However, the point could be made that the City Girls being featured on In My Feelings ” was just as beneficial to them as it was to Drake. After the song was released in 2018, the group rose to superstardom and landed features from the likes of Lil Baby, Lil Yachty, and Cardi B.
