However, this year’s show will be a blast from the past. The network will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its former flagship show, 106 & Park. And it is already shaping up to be a star-studded event.

106 & Park Reunion Set to Happen At 2025 BET Awards

All of the former hosts of the program will unite for the reunion at the awards show. AJ Calloway, Free, Julissa Bermudez, Keshia Chanté, Rocsi Diaz, and Terrence J will all be gracing the stage for the upcoming reunion.

In addition, Bow Wow, also known as, Mr 106 & Park himself, will be performing for the reunion segment.  B2K, Mya, Amerie, Jim Jones, and T.I. will also be hitting the stage that evening.

106 & Park was BET’s original flagship show that ran from 2000-2014. Its success was due in large part to the fact that the 2000s were a renaissance as it pertained to music videos. If your video was hot enough, it landed on the 106 & Park top ten countdown.

But the show became much more than a music video showcase. It became a platform for journalists to interview artists about their upcoming projects and also gave those same artists a chance to build a deeper connection with their fanbase because of its live audience.

Ahead of the reunion, BET President Scott Mills called the program the “heartbeat of black youth.

106 & Park was more than just a music countdown show — it was the heartbeat of Black youth culture and one of the highest-rated BET programs for over a decade,” Mills said in a statement via Billboard.

“From Freestyle Friday to unforgettable live performances, it launched careers, influenced fashion, and became a platform where voices, style, and sound converged. 106 & Park both celebrated and fueled many of the most important musical and cultural evolutions that occurred during its two-and-a-half-decade tenure.”
