As part of his continuous quest to bring peace to the city of Atlanta, rap star 21 Savage is looking to reunite former Migos members Quavo and Offset.
21 Savage Posts Facetime Call Between Him, Quavo & Offset
21 Savage posted a screenshot of a FaceTime call between him and the two rap artists. Leading fans to speculate that the tensions between the one-time group members have officially cooled.
Fans in the comments section expressed their excitement over the two rap stars reuniting.
“Bigger than rap. Atlanta healing in real time,” one user wrote in the comments section of the Instagram post.
Other comments praised 21 Savage for playing the role of “peace maker” in Atlanta. While others didn’t believe that the FaceTime call was what it seemed. Noting that Quavo did not look like he wanted to pick up the phone.
There was perceived tension between the two former Migos members. And rumors suggested that it was because Offset was in a romantic relationship with Quavo’s ex-girlfriend Saweetie. During his appearance on Baby, This is Keke Palmer in October, Offset dispelled that rumor. Noting that the rumor was just that — a rumor.
“No, man. It was a rumor, man. And I feel like it was something deeper than that for the split between and bro,” he explained. “I don’t really want to touch on [it], but it’s something deeper than that. I think that was a thing that–a bug that I heard. I think people were trying to tear my situation down in that situation.”
Offset also did not shut down the idea of a potential Migos reunion down the road.
“Maybe a couple of years from now,” Offset said of a potential reunion. “The plan was always for us to be doing our thing as solo acts. I feel like that’s what separated us as a group anyway. That’s why we were so big and why we lasted so long, it was because each man could hold their own.”
