50 Cent has not pulled any punches over the release of his new Netflix documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning — a film that gives viewers an inside look at the years of crime and abuse committed by the music mogul.
50 Cent Rips ‘Bums’ Jim Jones, Maino, Dave East, & Fabolous
During a recent episode of Let’s Rap About It, a music podcast hosted by Dave East, Jim Jones, Maino, and Fabolous, the panel discussed the ethics of the film. And whether it should be classified as a documentary or “mockumentary.”
50 then called out the quartet of rappers in a social media post on Monday night (December 15). In his rebuttal, 50 accused East, Maino, Jones, and Fabolous of being squatters. He also says that they owe $250,000 because of non-payment despite occupying the space.
“These guys are squatters, they owe 250,000 k for the space they are filming their podcast. These bums are trying to win the best dressed award and can’t pay their bills,” he captioned the social media post.
The comments section of the post also did not disappoint.
“If we’re picking teams for WW3…I’m picking 50 on mine,” one user wrote under the Instagram post.
“It’s funny because when @50cent comes for someone, they are with facts. That’s the best part,” another user added.
“Jim Jones has been coming at 50 for a while. It was only a matter of time before 50 had something to say,” a third user chimed in.
However, many people have questioned how ethical the new Netflix production is. The documentary features exclusive footage of the Bad Boy Records founder just days before he was swept up by the feds in September 2024. Additionally, 50 Cent, the executive producer of the documentary, has a long-standing history of issues with the founder of Bad Boy Records. But that hasn’t stopped the film from being successful. It has remained atop the most-watched list since it debuted earlier this month.
