Kendrick Lamar is barely a year removed from being involved in one of the most heated rap battles of all time. And once again, he is being challenged to lyrical warfare. This time by New York City rapper Joey Badass.

Joey Bada$$ Calls Out Kendrick Lamar

On a new song titled, The Finals, which he released on May 15, the Brooklyn-born artist invites the Grammy-winner to enter another rap feud.

“I salute you, Kenny, but I know you’re well aware / You lookin’ for some competition? Then just know that I’ll be right here,” he raps on the song.

However, the main target on the track is TDE rapper Ray Vaughn. The two have exchanged several diss tracks in just this week alone. On this particular song, Badass accuses Ray of clout chasing behind Kendrick.

Joey raps: “The way you let Dot d**k sit in your mouth / This that same d**k linkin’ I was talkin’ about / You n****s would do anything for the clout / Crash out over n****s who won’t even let you in they house / I bet you ain’t even got his number/It’s funny how the thirst is bein’ disguised as hunger.”

Kendrick, of course no stranger to rap feuds. Especially after his 2024 beef with Grammy award winner, Drake.

Things got very personal between the two rap stars. However, Kendrick insists it was just for sport.

“My intent from day one was to keep the nature of it as a sport. I don’t care how m***********s look at it as far as like a collaborative effort. That’s cool too, but I love when artists grit their teeth,” Lamar said.

“I still watch battle raps, I still watch Smack URL, from Murda Mook to Lux to Tay Roc, my bro Daylyt. This has always been the core definition of who I am. It’s been that way since day one, so I don’t think it was a thing for this year. It was always a continuum.”
