This week, the enigmatic Outkast MC brought his flute and some serious vibes to the streets of Atlanta, popping up for impromptu performances that had the city buzzing. On Sunday, 3 Stacks pulled up with a full band and a camera crew, transforming a basketball court in the Old Fourth Ward into a soulful, spiritual jam session. Then on Tuesday, he popped up again—this time in a parking lot off Metropolitan Parkway in southwest Atlanta.
But this show wasn’t just about the music—it was about family.
Big Boi and the rest of the Dungeon Family pulled up to support 3 Stacks’ latest creative venture, 7 Piano Sketches, the meditative follow-up to his Grammy-nominated flute album, New Blue Sun. As the sun dipped low over the parking lot, the legendary duo stood side by side once again—no mic battle, no arena stage, just vibes.
Big Boi made the reunion IG official, posting a flick of the two with the caption: “Saxxx & Stacks 🛸” — a cosmic nod to their timeless chemistry.
The link-up couldn’t come at a better time. Just weeks ago, Outkast was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a well-earned recognition of their boundary-smashing legacy that changed the course of Southern hip-hop—and music culture as a whole. This year’s inductee class also includes Salt-N-Pepa, Chubby Checker, Soundgarden, the White Stripes, and more.
2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held live on Nov. 8, 2025
