On Thursday (June 5), Diddy got checked by U.S. District Judge Jesse M. Subramanian for allegedly trying to send a message to jurors during a tense moment in court. According to the judge, Combs was seen “nodding vigorously” and locking eyes with jurors during the cross-examination of Bryana “Bana” Bongolan, a longtime friend of Cassie Ventura.

The implication? That Diddy may have been subtly co-signing what was being said—whether it was his attorney’s questions or Bongolan’s answers. That kind of behavior, the judge warned, could unfairly sway the jury.
Judge Subramanian didn’t mince words. He told defense attorney Jeffrey Lichtman that if the courtroom theatrics continued, the court could issue a limiting instruction—or even bar Diddy from attending his own trial.
Diddy Allegedly Dangled Woman From a Ledge on the 17th Floor
But his antics were likely a marginal distraction from the real fireworks coming from the witness stand.
Bongolan delivered explosive testimony, painting a harrowing picture of an alleged encounter with Combs back in 2016. She told the court she had just woken up at Cassie’s apartment when the Bad Boy mogul stormed in out of nowhere—furious.
The designer claims things escalated quickly after Diddy allegedly cornered her on the 17th-floor balcony and tried to grope her. When she resisted, he lifted her off the ground and held her over the edge.
“He had me up there for like 10 or 15 seconds,” she told the jury, claiming he screamed, “You know what the f—k you did.” After that, she says he slammed her onto the balcony furniture and stormed out.
The balcony incident wasn’t the only time she says Diddy crossed the line. During a photoshoot, Bongolan claims Diddy pulled her aside and straight up threatened her life.
