Master P is making it clear that he wants to be recognized for more than just his contributions to Hip-Hop.
The No Limit Records founder recently told TMZ that he declined a $10 million offer to appear in a Super Bowl commercial because the ad required him to rap. According to P, he’s intentionally moving away from being boxed into the role of “the rapper” in every opportunity that comes his way.
“I don’t want to be rapping in everything,” he explained, emphasizing that his focus today is on brand building and expanding his business empire.
Over the years, Master P has evolved from chart-topping artist to successful entrepreneur, investing in everything from food products and clothing to real estate and media ventures. While music laid the foundation for his career, he now sees himself as a full-scale businessman first.
Turning down a multi-million-dollar Super Bowl payday underscores that shift in mindset. For Master P, it’s not about quick money—it’s about long-term ownership, legacy, and building brands that extend beyond entertainment.
His decision reflects a broader trend of Hip-Hop moguls redefining their identities and demanding to be viewed as executives and entrepreneurs, not just performers.
