Future took to social media on Wednesday (March 18) to shut down all of the rumors about his new album.

Future Addresses Recent Album Leaks

A recent report from the social media page Infolky on X reported that 150 of Future’s songs had leaked. But he took to social media to shut down those rumors. Noting that 150 songs did not leak. He also says that it’s not possible because he has been flying solo throughout the recording process.

“I haven’t had anyone around in the studio lately putting the album together,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday (via Kurrco/X). “I don’t know who’s recording songs from their phone and putting them out.”

He also accused someone of recording songs from their phone and putting them out. But he says that the tracks that were recorded and leaked are not songs that will appear on the upcoming album.

“I’m only speaking on the studio recordings that someone secretly recorded and put out of songs that’s NOT on my album,” he added.

“Not throwing anything, hoping it sticks. I know for sure this album is [rocket emoji”

Future’s last solo album, Mixtape Pluto, was released in September 2024. The project debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 after moving 129,000 equivalent album units in its opening week.

Earlier that year, in April 2024, the Atlanta artist dropped two other number-one collaborations with Metro Boomin: We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You. The projects were considered controversial, as many pointed to them as the catalyst for the explosive rap feud between Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and J. Cole.

However, despite his album being the catalyst of the feud, Future appears to be playing Switzerland. J. Cole appeared on the track Red Leather on Future’s follow-up project, We Still Don’t Trust You.

Many of the top tastemakers in the industry have confirmed rumors that the Atlanta rapper will appear on Drake’s upcoming album, Iceman. The two artists’ last collaboration came in 2020, when Drizzy appeared on Future’s hit single Life Is Good. The song appears on Future’s 2020 project High Off Life.

Could Drake be one of the features on Future’s next project? It will be interesting to see what he has in store for fans.
