Jay-Z is in high demand these days, and he’s got the numbers to prove it.
Jay-Z Adds Third Show at Yankee Stadium
After his upcoming concerts were in high demand, selling out in just two days, the Grammy-winner was forced to add a third show to the concert series.
Earlier this month, the Roc Nation founder revealed that he would be performing two concerts at Yankee Stadium this summer. One on July 10 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt. And another on July 11 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his iconic album, The Blueprint. The third show, titled ‘Extra Innings’, will take place on Sunday, July 12.
Tickets went on sale on Tuesday afternoon (March 24) but sold out almost immediately.
When the pre-sale tickets dropped on Monday (March 23), there were more than 800,000 people in the queue waiting to buy tickets. And even after adding a third show, there were still some unlucky fans who would be sanctioned to the resale market if they wanted to attend the show.
HOV is also set to headline the 2026 Root Picnic in Philadelphia on May 30.
Jay-Z appears to be preparing for something. Possibly an album. The Roc Nation founder recently sat down for an interview with GQ. In one of his most candid interviews in years. He addressed everything from his thoughts on Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s beef to his high-profile civil lawsuit.
As for new music? He drops hints, but he doesn’t necessarily say anything concrete. However, one thing that he did reveal was that he was “close” to sending a verse but noted that “the first thing that I say has to be said by me.”
Are you expecting new music from Jay-Z in 2026?
