The 2026 BET Awards are set to go down on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET/PT from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. And the network has tapped one of the biggest stars in the industry to host the evening’s activities.
Druski Set to Host The 2026 BET Awards
In a post to his social media account on Thursday (April 30), social media superstar Druski revealed that he has been confirmed as the host for the BET Awards.
“I’m your host for the BET Awards 2026. I told BET if I’m hosting, we’re going to do this my way.” He said in the promo.
At 31 years old, he will be the youngest person to host the BET Awards in the 26 years of the event.
And even though Druski is usually a jokester, he seems to be taking his emcee duties for the evening seriously. He is even instituting his own set of rules for the evening.
- Rule number 1: “Jamie Foxx take that big a** hat off.”
- Rule number 2: “Sexyy Red, no leggings, rompers, or body suits. We don’t need any wrestlers on the red carpet.”
- Rule number 3: “YNs take the ski masks off. Stop.”
- Rule number 4: “Mega church pastors, I know ya’ll on my back right now. I’ve been getting the DMs and threats. Just leave it up to God.”

The BET Awards is one of the few award shows left that actually puts black music at the forefront.
That’s why it was such a big deal when BET CEO Scott Mills confirmed that the network had suspended the Source Awards and BET Hip-Hop Awards indefinitely in an August 2025 interview with Billboard.
With the BET Awards being one of the last remaining pillars, it will be interesting to see if bringing a major celeb like Druski into the fold can spice things up even more.
