Drake is getting ready to drop Iceman at midnight tonight [May 15th], leading to the rumor windmill spinning endlessly. The latest rumor dropping is not a feature, producer, or a diss, it’s a famous comedian.

Who Is The Comedian That Will Allegedly Appear In A Drake Music Video?

Shane Gillis, the popular comedian best known for his outrageous stand up and Netflix series Tires, is allegedly appearing in a music video for Iceman.

The rumor heated up when the Tuesdays With Stories podcast with comedians Joe List and Mark Normand, told a story about the last time they talked to Gillis

“It’s insane that he’s playing multiple concerts, he was just at Notre Dame stadium,” the comedians said. “So I told him, we got back in the car and I was like ‘so tonight you play your show and for 95,000 people.’ And he’s like: ‘ight, I’m gonna go to Toronto, I’m in a music video with Drake.'”

The obvious implication here is that Gillis will be in one of Drake’s music videos for his upcoming album Iceman. However, there’s an interesting wrinkle in Drake choosing Gillis.

Yes, Gillis is one of the most popular comedians in the world, but he also made a key joke about Drake around 2018-2019.

On his podcast with Matt Mccusker, Matt and Shane’s secret podcast, Gillis wanted to go on record about his thoughts on Drake.

“Drake’s on that R Kelly tip,” Gillis said. “Drizzy Drake likes them young. That’s somewhat known already but it’s one of those things where you gotta say something like remember Louie [CK] that whole thing. [Comedians and I] knew about that, and we’re just like ‘I don’t know.’ Drizzy Drake’s into the young ones. He’s gonna get got in the next five years, unfortunately. Love me some Drizzy Drake dude.”

The terminology he uses “likes them young” mirrors the exact lines on Kendrick Lamar’s song “Not Like Us” when he referred to Drake as “I heard you like them young.”

Gillis also recently posted a picture of Drake on his Instagram story with the caption: “Iceman May 15th.”

What’s The Latest On Iceman?

The wave of Iceman rumors have been fast and furious.

Six alleged tracks have leaked, with two of them seeming to have more validity than the others. Both “1Am in Albany,” and “3Am in New Orleans” were reportedly leaked from Drake’s PlotTwist burner account. The tracks have also been copyright stricken on several rumor and leak accounts.

DJ Hed added to the speculation when he tweeted that both Future and Molly Santana would be on Iceman. Then, he dropped an alleged bombshell: another album titled Man Of Honor, is dropping with Iceman. Hed’s tweets are purely speculation.
