Jim Jones isn’t done feuding with his former Diplomats group member, Cam’ron.
On Memorial Day (May 25), Jones issued a challenge for him and Cam’ron to go head-to-head in a Verzuz matchup. And blames him for the Diplomats’ loss in their Verzuz against the Lox in 2021.
Jim Jones Issues Verzuz Challenge to Cam’ron
“Tell ya, man, I wanna do a [Verzuz] against him since he made us lose our last [Verzuz] at the Apollo. Ya’ll call Swizz lol Happy Memorial Day. Smoke ain’t your thing, we all know that, so let’s settle this like this,” he said in a post caught by Big_Business on X.
He also added: “Let’s settle this once and for all. We can do it right in Harlem. We know you ain’t been here in a while. But they still love you.

he also blamed Cam’ron for Dipset losing to The LOX:

However, fans in the comments section of the social media post expressed skepticism about whether or not Jim had the catalog to compete.
“Cam can play. Come home with me and wash him. Jim has 5 songs, that’s it,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“The sad part is that this Verzuz wouldn’t even end with them hugging and squashing it. It would end with Jim crying and Cam laughing at him,” a second user chimed in.
“Cam’ron has the deeper catalog, classic albums, and cultural impact,” a third user remarked.
In the aftermath of the Verzuz, Jim Jones, there was shady business going on in the background. And accused Cam’ron of cutting a side deal with Verzuz co-founder, Swizz Beatz. And said that Swizz made sure the Diplomats leader got paid more than the other members.
As for Cam, he said that the Verzuz is something that should have never happened.
“I should’ve never done the Verzuz, I told n****s don’t do the Verzuz,” Cam said during a 2025 episode of his sports talk show, It is What It Is. “It was the wrong decision that I made. No more of that… I’ve tried to be a team player a lot of times, but that’s the first thing that came to my mind when you said, ‘wrong decisions.’”
At the time of writing, Cam has not directly responded to Jim Jones’ challenge.
