Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence for interstate prostitution. Involving his ex-girlfriend and label artist, Cassie Ventura, and a Jane Doe. For months, many speculated that the Jane Doe who testified against Diddy was his ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy. That was all but confirmed after an explicit tape of Diddy, a male escort, and a woman who was perceived to be Joy leaked online.

Of course, the leaked video went viral and caused quite a stir on social media. Amid the backlash, Joy broke her silence about the tape in a statement on social media.
In the statement, Joy asserts that she “never consented” to being filmed by the music mogul. As for why she chose to participate? Daphne says that she was just trying to keep Diddy happy at the time. And called herself a “fool” for doing so.
“Everybody plays the fool sometimes, and I have been the biggest fool,” she wrote. “I just wanted my man at the time to be happy and satisfied… I wanted to fulfill all his desires, even if that meant breaking my own boundaries,” she said in a statement caught by DJ Vlad on X.

Joy also says that during her and Diddy’s relationship, she was in love with him. And felt that the feeling was mutual. And in the aftermath of everything that has occurred, the reality is still a tough pill for her to swallow.
“I deeply loved him… and I believed he loved me too,” she continued. “It’s still so painful for me to process the harsh reality and truth of that relationship… I realize that it was far from love.”
At the time of writing, Diddy and his team have not spoken out about the leak.
