Lil Durk has found himself in even more hot water. According to Rolling Stone, the feds have added new charges to his pending murder-for-hire case. After connecting him to a January 2022 murder of a rival gang member in Chicago. And said that he offered a reward for the murder.
Lil Durk’s Lawyer Slams Prosecutors Over New Charges
In response, the rapper’s lawyer, Drew Findling, called out the prosecutors. Calling the new indictment ‘lipstick on a pig.’
“For nearly two years now, federal prosecutors have desperately tried to fend off challenges to a very weak case,” he said in the statement on Thursday (June 4).
He also added: “Now, just two months before trial — a trial that Durk Banks has demanded at every turn — they pull this pathetic pivot, recycling old accusations into a scrambling prosecutor’s back-up plan: allege racketeering and as many unrelated false claims as possible.”
Findling also says that the latest indictment just further speaks to the “weakness” of the feds’ case. And doubled down on his claims that the rapper is innocent.
“This is not a sign of strength. It’s an acknowledgement of weakness. The facts remain, Durk Banks is innocent. No matter how many indictments they want to throw at him.”

Lil Durk was arrested in October 2024 on murder-for-hire charges. And after being locked up for nearly two years, his trial has yet to begin.
In the initial indictment, the feds alleged that in response to rapper King Von’s murder, Durk put a bounty on rapper Quando Rondo’s head. He believed himself to be involved. They claim that in August 2022, Durk arranged for several members of his Only The Family (OTF) crew to fly from Los Angeles to Chicago. Once he arrived, he arranged for the crew members to follow Rondo, who eventually stopped at a gas station. And that’s when the members opened fire — leaving Rondo’s cousin dead.
Since then, the feds have added a slew of additional charges to his case. If convicted, Durk could spend the rest of his life in prison.
