The stars were out at Madison Square Garden for Game 3 of the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs NBA Finals matchup. Among the celebrities in attendance was super producer DJ Khaled.
DJ Khaled Under Fire For Being on Phone During Knicks Game
However, according to fans, the We Takin Over Creator did not appear to be very interested in the pivotal matchup between two of the best teams in the NBA. Because every time the cameras would pan to Khaled, he would be staring at his phone. Barely taking in the action despite the five-figure ticket price.

Fans tore into him on social media because of it.
“Can someone please slap that phone out of Khaled’s hand? To sit courtside for this game and be on your phone the whole time is insane,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“You came to a game and sat at a very close proximity to the action, pressing your phone all through just shows you are not a fan,” a second user chimed in.
“That’s what the Knicks get for giving these tickets to celebrities who aren’t interested in the game, only in being seen outside,” a third user remarked.
Other celebrities in attendance included Fat Joe, who was seated next to Khaled. Jay-Z and Cardi B, who performed at halftime of the game.
United States President Donald Trump was also in attendance. Making him the first sitting U.S. President to attend the game. But he did not appear to be too interested in the game either. The camera caught him sleeping during the game.
The Spurs ended up beating the Knicks to get back in the series. Although the Knicks still hold a 2-1 lead, all will have a chance to redeem themselves in Game 4.
