Media personality DJ Akademiks isn’t slowing down his verbal onslaught of Atlanta rap star Lil Baby. And he is dragging down other Atlanta rap stars in the process.
Akademiks Doubles Down on Lil Baby Criticism
Footage of Lil Baby shooting a music video for an unreleased song surfaced online on Monday (June 8). And on the song, he calls out Akademiks for being the “fed.”
So in response to the lyrics, Akademiks clowned the rap star for being a “rat lover.” And questioned how Baby could have a problem with him despite his close ties with other rappers like Young Thug and Gucci Mane, who have allegedly cooperated with the police.
“Before I let a rat lover like Lil Baby ever call me the Feds, I quit hip hop,” Akademiks said. “U gon call ur fellow Atlanta rappers rats before u talk bout big Ak if it’s the last thing to do. U young thug gunna Gucci. Y’all need a group name.”

Gucci Mane allegedly helped police identify Pooh Shiesty and Big30 in an armed robbery this past January.
Young Thug came under heavy fire last August after an interrogation video of him was leaked on social media. In the video, he appears to imply that YSL affiliate PeeWee Roscoe was involved in a 2015 incident in Atlanta that ended with Lil Wayne’s tour bus being shot up.
So after being called out by Lil Baby, Akademiks declared an all-out war on the Atlanta rap scene.
“Lil baby. And the Atlanta rat rappers ain’t finna escape. Imma make sure of it, Detective Gucci. Lieutenant young thug and sergeant Lil baby. We on y’all ass now,” he added.
At the time of writing, Lil Baby has not responded to Akademiks’ comments.
