Rap star Ice Cube will never pass up a marketing opportunity. And after his recent social media exchange with Lonzo Ball, all eyes are on his Big 3 basketball league.
Ice Cube Gives Ball Brother Opportunity to Appear in ‘Last Friday’
On Tuesday (July 7), Cube took to social media and issued a challenge to Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo Ball. For them to take on the Big 3 All-Stars when the league rolls through Charlotte for the championship game this August.
“This summer, we got a challenge from the Ball Brothers. Yeah, we want all three of ya’ll man,” he said in a clip caught by Big_Business_ on X. “Charlotte for our championship game, man. You know what I’m saying? August 22nd in Charlotte, Ball brothers, three-on-three, Big 3 style. Against our [Big 3] All-Stars. What’s up, man? I’ll see you in Charlotte. If you want some of this.”
Lonzo responded to Ice Cube’s challenge on social media. And said that he would be more interested in an acting role in Ice Cube’s upcoming blockbuster, Last Friday.
“Mannnn what’s word with some Last Friday roles lol That’s what I want,” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
It didn’t take Cube long to issue a response. He agreed to give Ball a role in the upcoming film. If he and his brothers can beat the Big 3 All-Stars.

Cube is gearing up to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the cult classic. With a special concert in Long Beach on July 17. The concert, titled “Everyday’s Friday: Lyrics, Loungin’ and Laughing,” will be hosted by comedian Mike Epps. Who starred in Friday and Friday After Next.
