Lebron James is still deciding who he’ll suit up for as he enters his 40s, but it appears one team may have jumped the gun on his possible singing. On Tuesday (July 21st), the Miami Heat social team caused a major stir on YouTube.
What Did The Heat Do?
On the Miami Heat’s official YouTube page, fans discovered the team had scheduled a livestream on July 27th for Lebron James’ introductory press conference. While the Heat have been listed as one suitor for James’ talents, the current leader for many is the Cleveland Cavaliers, making this post quite shocking.
Quickly, the team recognized their “mistake” and deleted the live stream, issuing a statement to ESPN reporter Shams Charania that they didn’t mean to post the link and only set it up for the off chance that James signed with the Heat.
Of course, fans have already read the tea leaves and believe the accidental leak will come to fruition.

Where Will Lebron James End Up?
After The Los Angeles Lakers and James mutually parted ways, he’s been linked to a few teams. Some pundits suggested James may team up with Steph Curry to form the 2010s all decade all stars with the Golden State Warriors. Other reporters said the Boston Celtics were interested in James. Some even marked the Washington Wizards as a landing spot due to James’ close relationship with his former Lakers title winning partner in crime, Anthony Davis. Finally, the Cleveland Cavaliers, James’ first, and hometown, team have long been the favorite to land his services.
However, after the Heat acquired Giannis Antetokounmpo in a trade that saw Tyler Herro go to the Milwaukee Bucks, speculation began that the heat could pair James with Giannis and Bam Adebayo to form a long, passing centric big 3…just don’t ask them to hit 3s consistently.
While James hasn’t specified when he’ll make his decision, it seems like with the World Cup done and another month before Football season gets in full swing, Lebron will get a chance to be the center of attention when he announces his decision in the next couple of weeks.
