Scott Had Rocky Relationship With Eminem
It’s no secret that Eminem and his ex-wife have had a rocky relationship. He is very transparent about their issues in his track, Kim, off his 2000 album, The Marshall Mathers LP (tour edition.
The song begins with the rapper tucking his daughter into bed before taking Kim hostage and taking her on a ride to her eventual death. He also references her allegedly leaving him for another man.
“You’re gonna finally hear me out this time! At first, I’m like, “Aight, you wanna throw me out? That’s fine, “But not for him to take my place, are you out of your mind? This couch, this TV, this whole house is mine,” he raps on the song.
Even though the song was satire, it had real-life impacts.
After watching the rap star perform the song with a blow-up doll at a Detroit concert in July 2000, Kim attempted suicide by slashing her wrists. After the failed attempt, Kim later filed a $10 million defamation lawsuit against Eminem, which was eventually settled out of court.
