Brittany Renner Reveals Divorce From Kevin Gates
During an interview on Los Angeles radio station REAL 92.3 LA, Renner revealed that she and her husband Kevin Gates have now split. After just 52 days of marriage.
“We got married April 6 and divorced May 28,” Renner said.
During her marriage to the rap star, Renner converted her religion to Islam. Despite just a brief marriage to Gates, Renner reassured concerned fans that “all is well.”
“I don’t feel like it’s a sucky situation because what is meant to be is always going to be,” she said.
Brittany Responds to Her Potential Critics
52 days in a new marriage is not typical. For reference, Kim Kardashian was married to former NBA player Kris Humphries for 72 days. And that caused a national outcry.
But despite what critics may say, Renner says that she has no regrets about the situation. Because she chose to “follow [her] heart.”
“I followed my heart and that’s what more than most people can say, and I think when you do that, you get all the clarity you need and there’s no stone left unturned and there’s no regret,” she added.
“A lot of people, their issue is, even just in dating, in marriage, it’s people just don’t give it their all,” she added. ”They don’t just go for it. But I feel like when you do, you’re at peace with whatever happens because I gave 100 percent.”
Gates has been no stranger to controversy in 2025.
Earlier this year he posted a video where he expressed his disdain for the way Savannah James looks at her husband LeBron compared to the way that “the white women” do.
“I don’t like the way Savannah looks at LeBron. I like the way those white women look at LeBron. Like, when as soon as he walked out there, they just be like, ‘Oh oh oh.’ They are d****d out,” he said.
After Gates aimed Savannah, LeBron shared an Instagram post featuring a photo of him and his wife on April 20. And the accompanying caption to the picture was … interesting to say the least.
“’ Kings don’t concern themselves with the opinions of peasants,” LeBron said in the post.
