Claressa Shields found a unique way to celebrate her 31st birthday on March 17, 2026—by stepping into the studio and releasing a heartfelt song dedicated to her partner, Papoose.
The undefeated boxing champion, widely known as the “GWOAT” (Greatest Woman of All Time), traded in a traditional birthday celebration for a more personal gesture. Shields wrote and recorded the track herself, sharing a video of the performance on social media with the caption, “I’m singing love into your life.”
The song also fulfilled a special request from Papoose, who had asked Shields earlier this month—on his March 5 birthday—to write a song about him. Shields delivered in a major way, using her own birthday as the moment to debut the record.
The couple is continuing the celebration with plans for a joint birthday bash on March 28, as Shields turns 31 and Papoose celebrates his 48th.
This latest release marks another step in Shields’ growing presence in music. After signing with Wynn Records in late 2025, she has been expanding her brand beyond boxing, blending her dominance in sports with a deeper push into entertainment and culture.
