The rap industry is still buzzing about Jay-Z’s freestyle at the Roots Picnic in May. But Dame Dash doesn’t appear to be impressed.
Hov targeted several people during his freestyle. One of them was Kanye West. During his set, he appeared to clap back at Kanye over the comments that he made about his twins, Sir and Rumi Carter. And referenced his 1999 incident, where he allegedly stabbed Un Rivera.
“You ever heard of wonder-kin? My children are some of them. Have you n****s have no shame? You really wanna get under my skin? I’ll really get under ya skin, ask Un how I’m playing,” he said.
Dame Dash Calls Out Jay-Z Over Un Rivera Lyric
During a recent interview with Art of Dialogue, Dame said that Jay-Z referencing his 1999 incident with Un was “corny.” And revealed that the entire incident was due to a dispute over Charli Baltimore, Notorious B.I.G’s ex-girlfriend.
“Is that not the corniest s**t in the world? Of all the things to stab a n***a over, over Biggie’s girl is crazy. And I had to deal with this dumb s**t,“ he said. “My crew was like, ‘Yo, these n***as are corny.’ It was a lot of other bulls**t behind it. But it’s corny… Is that not scumbag s**t? You’re a fan of a n***a that would f**k his best friend’s girl when he dies? This is your man.”
Dame continued: “Go ask Un. They were both hitting it, pillow-talking to each other. It was so corny… After we just did “Hard Knock Life.” That’s corny, right? It looks like a guy with a stupid afro and no mustache when he’s 60 would do some dumb s**t like that. That’s exactly the type of s**t this dude used to do. And I used to have to still pretend he was cool.”
Dame Dash calls JAŸ-Z corny as he goes off on him for bragging about stabbing Lance “Un” Rivera in his Roots Picnic freestyle and says JAŸ-Z stabbed Lance over Biggie’s girlfriend, rapper Charli Baltimore.

While Jay-Z was never officially charged with the stabbing, it has long been insinuated that he was the culprit after he pleaded to third-degree assault for his role in the altercation and received three years’ probation.
