Rap star Drake has decided to hit the studio full force in 2025. On Valentine’s Day, he dropped a joint album with Party Next Door titled, $exy $ongs 4 U. And now he is already preparing to release a new project.
While on stream with Adin Ross earlier this month, Drizzy revealed that he has a new album coming.
Drake Confirms New Solo Album is on The Way
“[I’m] Working on a new album right now,” he said on the stream, confirming that it will be his first solo studio album since For All The Dogs. “It’s a slap,” he added.
Ross also asked Drizzy if he would ever participate in a celebrity boxing match to which the Toronto-born artist quickly responded “No.”
Drake did say that if he were to participate in a fisticuffs it would be behind closed doors out of the public eye.
Adin then said that he knew who Drake wanted to fight, hinting at his longtime nemesis, Kendrick Lamar to which Drake responded:
“If we’re fighting, we’ll fight at [Hollywood] Hino’s gym or something like that — behind closed garage doors.”
A boxing match between Kendrick and Drake is likely not in the cars now they have concluded their rap feud that began in 2024. But at one point it was a possibility. Glasses Malone, who is a close affiliate of Kendrick said that at one point the GNX artist did want to fight Drake.
“The only person who wants to kick Drake’s ass is Dot. Dot really wants to kick his a**,” Malone said.
“Everybody thinks Kendrick is this good kid in the mad city. This ni**a is not that good of a kid! He’s a mean person, bro. There’s confusion ’cause of the title of that album, but I don’t think people listened to the material.
Malone also added: “This n***a is funny, he got a thousand jokes. There’s a weird rhetoric that this is some sort of cool guy. Dot is gonna clown you all day. I’ve had to stop this n***a from fighting on tour buses, all kinds of crazy shit.”
