It’s been a little over a week since Drake dropped his highly anticipated Iceman project. And the numbers are officially in.
Drake Officially Passes Jay-Z For Most Number One Albums

Drake made even more history on the Billboard charts. After dropping a trifecta of new projects, Iceman, Habibti, and Maid of Honour occupy the top three spots on the Billboard Hot 200. Making Drake the first artist to ever simultaneously debut three albums in the top three spots on the Billboard Hot 200.
Drake also tied Taylor Swift for the most number-one albums by a solo artist in Billboard 200 history.
He is truly collecting chart records like infinity stones at this point. So, of course, fans on social media had a lot to say in the aftermath.
“The best of all time. Don’t EVER put Kendrick’s name next to Drake again. There are levels to this s**t, man,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“It’s always since Jay Z, tied with Jay Z, surpassing Jay Z,” but somehow Twitter ghouls will have you believing Jay Z wasn’t him,” a second user chimed in.
“Drake passing Jay-Z for #1s feels less like a moment and more like a rewrite of rap’s commercial canon,” a third user remarked.
2026 has truly been a comeback season for Drake.
