Drake and Kevin Durant dropped another gem of a commercial to promote the 18th edition of Durant’s signature sneaker, the Nike KD.
Drake Takes a Slight at Anthony Edwards in New Nike Commercial
The commercial begins with Durant getting a large crate delivered to his house. When he opens the crate, Drake appears. And is holding the “purple candies” colorways of Durant’s signature sneaker.
Drake then began praising the forthcoming colorway:
“Candyman, Candyman! The best shoes in all the land. The new colorway? The purps? This is what they call it, keeping it P. You should change your name to Pevin Purant.
He then takes a slight at Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards. And his adidas signature shoe, the AE.
“This is the best colorway that I’ve seen in my entire life. ‘Hey, Ant Man, can you drop your purple shoes?’ said four kids in Minnesota. Like nobody wants to see those, they want the KDs,” he jokes.
He continues: Brother, these are twenty out of ten. Not ten out of ten, these are bangers!
Durant’s response is a complete 180 from Drake’s as he responds with a mere “wow, these are fire.”

There is no release date available for the sneakers. But retailers like Dick’s Sporting Goods are currently advertising them for $155.
Drake and KD are also expected to drop a collab sneaker late this year, and it will also retail for $155. No word on how many pairs will be available to the general public. But with Drake and Durant being two of the biggest stars in their respective industries, this will probably be a pair that will go crazy on the resale market. Accompanying apparel is also expected to be available for purchase.
