For as great as Kevin Durant is on the basketball court, his social media impact has given fans a lot of material for trolling. From his famous burner account calling out his Houston Rockets teammates, to his various on main clap backs, Durant doesn’t shy away from controversy. However, it appears that online publicness doesn’t extend to real life.
What Did Kevin Durant Do?
On Thursday night (June 4th), while with an unidentified woman at Nobu in Malibu, the paparazzi spotted Durant. In a split second decision, Durant did his best Homer Simpson impression and immediately hid in the bushes, leaving his security and the woman in the line of the flashing lights. Eventually, he got out of the bushes, joined the woman in the same car, and drove off in a hurry.
Before this, Durant was seen posting hype for Drake’s ICEMAN, getting name dropped in the song “Q&A.” Durant also served as an A&R for Drake’s 2023 album For All The Dogs.

Naturally, Kevin Durant’s peculiar hiding place made way for a flood of jokes on social media.
