Fans have been lenient with A$AP Rocky as they await the release of his new project, “Don’t Be Dumb.” But as one might expect, they are beginning to grow impatient with the rap star. Especially after his comments in a recent interview with Perfect Magazine.
A$AP Rocky Explains Reason For New Album Delay
When speaking with the outlet, the “Fashion Killa” creator explained why he is in no particular rush to come out with new music.
“It’s about who did it the best. Everything I do is based on building legacy,” he said to the outlet (via Kurrco/X). “That’s why I’m not so eager to just drop, drop, drop. I don’t do things just to try and stay relevant or keep my name in the conversation. I try to do natural things, creative, ambitious things that really satisfy me.”
After the most recent album update, fans grew fed up with Rocky and his album delays. And they let the rap star hear about it on social media.
“Translation: I hate my supporters, I wanna get Rihanna pregnant again,” one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Drake really bullied this ni**a into just being Rihanna’s baby daddy and model,” another user added.
“This guy keeps saying the same thing a million different ways…just admit it’s never dropping,” a third person said.

Amid the backlash for the album delays, Rocky also said that he was done giving release dates for the album. Noting that he prefers to let the music do the talking.
“To be honest, I don’t want to talk about release dates anymore,” he said in a new interview with Numero Magazine. “I’d rather let the music speak for itself. One day, you’ll wake up and see what’s coming up. I was a bit foolish giving dates last time… Today, I want to make it clear. You’ll just have to wait and enjoy the record when it comes out.”
