Fat Joe is the ultimate Knicks Super Fan. So who better to get the city hyped for their first NBA Finals berth in nearly three decades?
Fat Joe Serves As Special Guest MTA Conductor
The Bronx native recently served as the first-ever special guest conductor for New York City’s Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA). As he greeted fans on Manhattan’s 1 train. And riders were even blessed with free merch and go photo ops with the rap legend ahead of their Game 1 matchup.

Joe was an obvious good luck charm for the Knicks. As they won their Game 1 matchup against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday (June 4).
Being a Knicks superfan has obvious perks, as displayed by Fat Joe’s guest appearance. But sometimes it can also have its consequences. Joe found that out the hard way during the Knicks’ Eastern Conference Finals matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers last month.
Joe purchased courtside tickets to watch his hometown team in the Eastern Conference Finals. However, during a recent appearance on NBA Today, the Bronx native revealed that once the powers that be found out he was the one who purchased the tickets, they did the unthinkable. And banned him from sitting courtside.
“We had bought some courtside tickets to the game, and once they found out it was superfan Fat Joe, they were like, I can’t sit courtside. New York Knicks fans can’t sit courtside,” he said, as caught by Bleacher Report. “They took the tickets away courtside after we purchased them, so shame on you all.”
Joe didn’t seem to have as big of a problem in San Antonio. As he sat courtside to watch his team go up 1-0 in the series on Wednesday.
