Rap artist Fetty Wap is set to release his first album since being released from prison in January.
Fetty Wap Releases Trailer For New Album With Tracklist
The New Jersey teased the album with a trailer that he posted on Instagram on Tuesday (March 24). He also reveals the tracklist for the upcoming project, titled Zavier. And it includes features for artists like Wiz Khalifa, Max B, G Herbo, and Tink.
Fetty also gets honest about his prison experience in the trailer.
“You ever been in the dark so long that it starts to feel normal? I’ve been there. Concrete Walls, long nights, a lot of thinking. A lot of silence, you know? That silence is different. It can break you if you’re soft. But it can make you stronger. And for me, it got me focused. Made me see who’s really around. Made me see what matters for real,” he says in the trailer.

Rap Artist Explains Why He Won’t Address Bid on New Album
Even though Fetty gets honest about his time behind bars in the trailer, don’t expect him to get deep about it on the album. During a recent appearance on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, he explained why he doesn’t feel talking about his jail experience is “important.”
“Honestly, I don’t feel like that’s important,” Fetty Wap answered, as caught by 2Cool2Blog on X. “I did my time. It’s a lot of rappers that went to jail – I mean, I hate to say it like that – that came home. If they chose to talk about their jail s**t, that’s them.”
He also added:
“Me, I did my time with the guys, and then, they all, ‘Leave this s**t behind you. When you walk out, leave it here. We’re trying to see you on TV.’ In jail, there are three things that you don’t turn the TV [off] from: sports, news, Love & Hip Hop. […] ‘We want to see you on TV, we’re trying to hear you on the radio. In 20 days, I want to hear something new on the computer.’ That’s the type of motivation I was having,” Fetty added. “So to come home and to talk about that s**t, it’s pointless. I did my time in there. […] [My writing] will change, I guess. It’s always going to change, especially when you’re trying to be creative. I just feel like I appreciate music more.”
