Rap artist Finesse2Tymes has put music executive J. Prince Jr. on the clock. In a recent social media rant, the rap artist doubled down on his demand to be released from his record deal with Mob Ties.
Finesse2Tymes Compares Mob Ties Contract to “Slavery”
During the rant, Finesse2Tymes referred to his Mob Ties deal as the “worst deal” he ever signed. He also questioned why other artists on the label who have “no hits” are getting more promotion than he is. Despite having previous success with hit records like Backend.
“Mob Ties the worst deal I ever signed,” he said in a clip shared by Akademiks. “I should’ve just gone to Atlantic by myself. Why are they m*****f****ers that ain’t got no hits, ain’t accomplished nothing, how the f*ck are they getting in these rooms I ain’t getting in. I got gold plaques and sh*t… All this talent is just going to waste.”
He also goes on to compare his recording contract to “slavery.”
“At this point, this is slavery. Let me out. Let me go. I don’t wanna do the album no more,” he concluded.
Finesse2Tymes has publicly griped over his mob ties contract several times over the past few months.
In January, he also demanded out of the contract. Claiming that he was not making any money.
“We ain’t made no money. I’ve been with you for four years. We ain’t dropped nothing but two projects,” the rapper said. “Mob Ties ain’t hitting on nothing with the music s**t. I’m 33 years old. Let me go to somebody that’s gon let me motherf***ing get me 10, 15, 20 Ms out of this s**t. If you want some money out of this s**t, f**k it, cool. You can get some money out of this s**t. I ain’t tripping. But let me go make my money. It’s over with. We’re done. He’s more than motherf***ing able.”
At the time of writing, J. Prince Jr has not responded to Finesse2Tymes’ comments.
