Flo Rida’s Son’s Mother Wants $40 Million Settlement From New Jersey Apartment Building After Child’s Fifth-Story Fall

The mother of Flo Rida’s 7-year-old son Zohar Dillard is reportedly hoping to settle a lawsuit for $40 million after Zohar fell from a fifth-story window of a New Jersey apartment building.

Alexis Adams said in a new filing that she’ll wrap up the lawsuit for the eight-figure settlement, per court documents obtained by TMZ on Thursday. Adams sued several businesses, including a construction company and a window-installation company for putting in “incorrect sized guards,” alleging that is why Zohar fell, according to the outlet. She wants $20 million from each set of defendants.

After being rushed to the hospital following his fall in March, Zohar was in the ICU being treated for a broken pelvis and left metatarsal fractures, according to Fox News Digital. He also sustained collapsed lungs, a grade-three liver laceration and internal bleeding.

Adams said in a statement to Fox News Digital at the time, “As a single mom to a special needs child this feels like a nightmare. My heart is broken into a million pieces. I am devastated, angry, and struggling to come to terms with the fact that my only child has suffered severe injuries due to the willful negligence of our landlord and others involved in failing to take necessary safety measures.”

She added in part, “My repeated written requests for window guards went ignored. The absence of appropriate window safeguards has resulted in a life-altering incident for my family. My son’s life will never be the same, and I hope that no other family has to go through a similar tragedy. I am just so grateful that my son is alive, fighting and is still here with me. He’s a real-life superhero.”
