Amid one of the most high-profile court cases in recent memory, a lot of unknown information has come out about music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. And unfortunately for him, most of it has not painted him in a positive light. The most recent revelation has come courtesy of famed Wu-Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah.
Ghostface Killah Says Diddy Blocked Wu-Tang From Radio
During a recent interview with Bootleg Kev, Ghostface revealed that during the group’s rise to stardom, Diddy blocked their records from being played on the radio. He also said that his fellow Wu-Tang clan brother RZA was the one who revealed the information to him.
“RZA told me this, like maybe a year ago, and said, ‘Yo, Puff admitted to saying that he stopped our records up there.’ So it was all Bad Boy,” Ghostface said.
As for how RZA found out? The rap star said that it was Diddy who ultimately admitted his wrongdoing. And noted that it was something he “had” to do.
“We dropped ‘Triumph,’ no radio play with that shit. So it came out that he told the truth, like, ‘Yo, I had to do it.’ He had the power. I don’t know what he paid ’em, but he had the power,” he added.
“Listen, we were a threat. We were coming, if ‘Triumph’ was promoted like it was supposed to be, and we would have stayed on that radio right there, I think things would have been a little bit different.”
Meanwhile, Diddy has even bigger problems facing him in the coming weeks. To bring things up to speed, Combs was facing life in prison after being brought up on prostitution, racketeering, and trafficking charges. Fortunately for Combs, he was only convicted on the prostitution charges. Still, he faces up to ten years in prison for his role in those crimes. He is set to be sentenced on October 3.
