One of the topics that came up was the former rap star’s affiliation with the Fyre Festival. But when DJ Envy brought the festival up, Ja had an interesting response.

Ja Rule Claps Back at DJ Envy’s Fyre Fest Comments

“I’m glad you brought that up, Mr. Envy,” Ja said sarcastically. “Remember when I was here and you asked, ‘Ja, how could you have a partner doing shady stuff?’” he added while turning his attention to co-host Charlamagne Tha God.

It wasn’t long before all the co-hosts realized that Ja was referencing DJ Envy’s lawsuit for his involvement in a real estate scheme with his partner Cesar Pina. The lawsuit alleges that Pina and Envy used real estate seminars as a way to attract victims.

“Now you understand,” Ja added. “I told myself, ‘Wait ’til I see this man again.’” Envy wore a sarcastic grin, acknowledging the jab. “He was holding onto that,” Envy said.

Ja concluded: “It’s possible, right Envy? People do foul things behind your back, man. I swear.”

The infamous Fyre Festival event went viral after Ja Rule and his partner Billy McFarland convinced attendees to spend thousands of dollars. In exchange, customers were promised a lavish vacation where they would party with celebrities but instead were provided with barely livable lodging, unconsumable food, and no celebrities in sight.

But the exchange between Envy and Ja Rule was not the only interview clip that went viral. He also reignited his beef with 50 Cent.

As a pillar of the industry, Murder Inc. founder, Irv Gotti’s passing sent shockwaves through the hip-hop community. However, 50 Cent was on the opposite end of the spectrum. Following the news 50 took to Instagram and posted a picture in a hookah lounge with the caption “smoking on that Gotti pack.”

Ja Rule, who had a close relationship with Gotti as an artist on his label said 50’s post almost made his “go nuclear,” on the Power creator.

“I was hurt, I was ready to go nuclear,” Ja said

He also shared that it was DJ Premier who convinced him to keep a cool head.

“Prem said it best. He said, ‘Rule, you got to understand who we are and what we are. We are masters of self-defense.’ I don’t want to start trouble, make trouble with people. But if we gotta get into it, make it, I’ll f*****g end it.”
