The ongoing feud between T.I. and 50 Cent came out of nowhere. But over the past few weeks, it has taken the hip-hop world by storm.
Joe Budden Weighs in on 50 Cent, T.I. Feud
Even though several salacious shots have been thrown by both camps, T.I. is the only one between the two of them that has released any new music. Tip dropped off two new diss tracks, Let ‘Em Know and The Right One, both of which aim at the G-Unit founder.
During a recent episode of his podcast, Joe Budden weighed in on the two new tracks from Tip. And for the most part, Budden seemed to be impressed.
“He’s in a good bag. He’s in a good flow. This bop he’s got going, the beat he’s got going,” he started.
But the ongoing feud took a dark turn after 50 posted an unflattering photo of T.I.’s wife, Tiny Harris. In response, Tip posted a photo of himself at dinner with his mother on her birthday. And noted that his biggest flex was being able to “protect” her. An apparent shot at 50’s deceased mother, Sabrina Jackson, who died in a house fire when he was still a child.
Even though many fans felt that it was justified, Budden felt that T.I. crossed a line when he made those comments.
“I do love the family flex,” Budden continued. “I don’t love using it to taunt someone who lost their mother, but I like family being a flex for a rapper. You being at the table with your mom, your wife, your kids, you being able to provide.”
Budden continued: “The 50 s**t is tough because he’s a star, star. He’s a big star. You’re not gonna catch him and do something to him. It’ll be more likely that he has people where you are before you have people where he is. That’s just as people are going about life, not even on a plan… All that comes with this stupid sh*t.”
At the time of writing, T.I. has not responded to Budden’s comments.
