Lizzo set the internet on fire on Thursday Night (June 4). After the release of a new track that appears to be aimed at rap star Nicki Minaj.
Lizzo Calls Out Nicki Minaj on New Track
Minaj went on several social media rampages in 2026. And in one of those rampages, she called out Lizzo over her weight loss and lack of album sales.
“Fat Lizzo lost 300 lbs just to sell 300 albums. So now she has loose skin and a weird charge. Sheesh,” Minaj wrote in the post.
Lizzo used a screenshot of the post as the cover art for her new track. And questions why she had a sudden change of heart about her.
“Used to be the biggest fan, then I lost weight — wait, let me fixate. I could clear the air and light the fire like Glade. Paid to keep the peace, I don’t even like beef. Crazy thing is, if you knew me, you would like me. I’m praying for my sister. I want to see us all in our bag, while we tussling and stealing our swag,” she raps on the song.

Of course, the new track caused an uproar on social media.
“It’s crazy how they no longer hide it. Like y’all really do need Nicki to save y’all’s careers,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Damn… this is what we’re doing on album release day? Both of y’all are legends in your own lane. The music should speak louder than the shade,” a second user chimed in.
“I don’t like you much, but I’m with you on this! ” Drag her maga a**,” a third user remarked.
At the time of writing, Minaj has not responded to Lizzo.
