2pac‘s murder investigation has seen an unexpected break as Las Vegas police have arrested a suspect in connection with the Hip-Hop Icon’s 1996 murder.
According to the Associated Press, Duane “Keefe D” Davis was arrested Friday morning (September 29), although it’s unclear what charges he is facing.
The arrest comes a little over two months after police raided the home of Davis’s wife. Las Vegas police said at the time that they were searching the house “as part of the ongoing Tupac Shakur homicide investigation.”
Police were looking for items “concerning the murder of Tupac Shakur, according to the warrant. They collected multiple computers, a cellphone and hard drive, a Vibe magazine that featured Shakur, several .40-caliber bullets, two “tubs containing photographs” and a copy of Davis’ memoir.
