Master P is speaking out about the importance of shifting mindsets in the Black community, saying he chooses not to continuously focus on slavery because he believes more energy should be placed on building a better future.
The No Limit Records founder opened up about what he sees as a negative mindset within the culture, addressing people who remain heavily focused on the lasting impact of slavery and historical injustice.
According to Master P, while the past cannot be changed, the decisions people make today can help shape what comes next.
He explained that his focus is on changing the mentality within the culture, encouraging people to think more about ownership, opportunity, education and creating generational progress rather than allowing history to define their future.
Master P’s comments reflect a message he has consistently promoted throughout his career: economic empowerment and self-sufficiency. The entrepreneur has frequently encouraged Black communities to build businesses, create ownership opportunities and develop resources that can be passed down to future generations.

Master P says he doesn’t harp on slavery while opening up about trying to get the negative mindset out of the culture, as he addresses Black people who are still harping on slavery and says he can’t change the past, but he can change the future.
