Megan Thee Stallion is showing off her softer side with the release of her latest single, “Lover Girl.” The Grammy-winning rapper, who has been sharing glimpses of her blossoming romance with NBA star Klay Thompson, channels full cupid energy in both the track and its visuals.
On the flirtatious new song, Megan raps, “Let’s skip the small talk and make some big moves/I know you feeling me, you know I’m feeling you,” before confidently adding, “A very freaky girl, you heard what Gucci said/First, I give you my number, then you give me some head.”
The single’s cover art captures Megan in a pink wig, violet bra, and wine-toned corset, holding a bow and arrow like a modern-day cupid. Just a day before the release, she shared photos with Klay Thompson on social media, captioned simply, “LOVER GIRL,” highlighting their new relationship.
Fans have been anticipating the single for days after Megan teased snippets online, encouraging her followers to join the fun with, “All hotties better be in attendance.” The release also leads up to her annual HottieWeen celebration in Humble, Texas, where proceeds will benefit her Pete and Thomas Foundation, supporting women, children, senior citizens, and underserved communities.
“Lover Girl” marks Megan’s second single of 2025, following April’s “Whenever,” and comes after the expanded edition of her Megan album, which featured collaborations with Flo Milli, Twice, and RM of BTS.
